FAQ & Practicalities

Beginning therapy can sometimes bring practical questions alongside emotional ones.
Below are a few of the most common areas people ask about before getting in touch.

Areas I Work With

I work with individuals, couples, and groups across a wide range of experiences and difficulties, including:

  • anxiety and overwhelm,

  • trauma and relational trauma,

  • identity and life transitions,

  • neurodivergence,

  • depression and emotional distress,

  • self-esteem and relational difficulties,

  • grief and loss,

  • psychosis, alternate reality experiences,

  • Dissociative experiences

  • spirituality, existential, and meaning,

  • and experiences that may feel difficult to fully explain in words.

While diagnostic language can sometimes be helpful for communication, or institutionally, my approach remains centred on understanding your lived experience rather than reducing people to labels or diagnoses.

How Sessions Work

I offer both in-person and online therapy.

Sessions are typically:

  • 50 minutes for individual therapy,

  • with longer sessions available for relationship or group work where appropriate.

I usually begin with a free initial consultation lasting around 20–30 minutes. This offers space for us to briefly explore what brings you to therapy, any questions you may have, and whether the work feels like an appropriate fit.

My Approach

My work is grounded in the Person-Centred tradition and shaped by relational, developmental, phenomenological, neurophysiological, and trauma-informed perspectives.

Rather than focusing on advice-giving or predetermined solutions, therapy is approached as a collaborative process shaped through contact, safety, presence, and exploration at your pace.
